Product Purpose

The NRS Healthcare Nuvo Mobile Commode Chair can be wheeled to the area of use or over the toilet and reduces the amount of lifting for carers where the commode is used in more than one room.

Product Description

This mobile commode chair has been designed and developed by NRS Healthcare's own product design team. The strong and versatile Nuvo Mobile Commode chair can be used as a commode placed over the toilet or with the use of the attachable commode pan.

The mobile commode is finished in attractive yet tough black upholstery with a white epoxy coated frame. The design of the commode includes several features to benefit both users and carers. Because of the attached wheels, the carer can simply push the user over the toilet. This prevents the carer from having to lift the person but also allows the person to stay seated instead of going through the difficulty of moving. The commode also has foot rests to support the users legs when they are being pushed.

Both the foot rests and arm rests can swing away or be removed to make transfers very easy whilst the back support can be adjusted or removed. Foot rests, arm rests and back support movement are designed to allow for easy carer access. The commode also has a wire rack to support disposable commode pans.

The commode requires minimal assembly and has a wider frame than most regular commodes measuring 490 millimetres or 19 inches between the two arms. The user weight capacity is also higher than normal at 190 kilograms or 30 stone. Each leg has a 125 millimetre swivel castor with brake allowing for easy manoeuvrability and maximum safety.

WARNING: This mobile commode is not suitable for use as a transport or transfer chair.
