It is sometimes compared to the security of being lifted by a strong pair of hands. The upper body is supported by padded cups (just like hands) while the thighs are lifted by strong leg supports. As the person is lifted, the curved cups automatically adjust to the user's size and weight. Suitable for users with good upper body tone, the Body Support may be used independently or with assistance. Unlike conventional fabric slings it is put on from the front, leaving the back and seat area free for dressing and toileting. There are many applications in and out of the home for the Body Support, providing an opportunity for improved independence for some users. Available in three sizes. The size of the cups is consistent, the height of the frame is all that changes. Can be fitted to any of the Handimove hoists, including ceiling hoist, wall mounted hoist, mobile hoist and pool hoist.
